Prepare to Fly!

About Us:

Our Club is located on a private full-scale grass runway.  Our runway is over 700 feet long by 100 feet wide, and our overfly area is nearly 60 acres of hay field.  We have very limited on-site facilities…only a covered shelter for shade and a porta-potty. We allow radio-controlled electric, glow, gas, and turbine-powered aircraft.  We have a solar-powered battery charging station for 12V and 120V battery chargers. The field is gated and available all week during daylight hours only—no flying on Sundays before 12:00 p.m.

Our current annual dues are $120 for full membership.  We also have an associate membership for beginners and students at $40. AMA is required to fly.

The club address is: 2275 County Road 24, Auburn, AL

Don’t be fooled by this address; the Club is about 15 miles south of Auburn, in Macon County.  Google Maps will get you within sight of our flying field…look for the sign to our field adjacent to the cattle gate along the fence line.

Although we’re a small club, you can expect 5-7 of us out every weekend, most likely on Sunday afternoon.  So you’re definitely welcome to stop by for a visit. As long as your AMA is current, bring something to fly.
